☘ AOH Thomas Gray Award ☘

Monsignor Farrell High School senior Michael Deats has been named the recipient of the AOH Thomas Gray Award. This prestigious honor is presented in memory of Thomas Gray, Jr.

Michael served as Captain of the 2025-2026 Farrell Varsity Hockey Team. His impact on the ice was immediate; in his first varsity season, he was named Rookie of the Year and helped lead the team to a CHSAA City Championship. Beyond his athletic stats, Michael was recognized for his character with the Loretta Giamboi Coach’s Award for outstanding leadership. His diverse extracurricular involvements also include the Monsignor Farrell Archery Team and the Archeology Society.

A recipient of the NROTC National Scholarship (Marine Corps option), Michael will attend the Virginia Military Institute this fall. He plans to pursue a career as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. We congratulate Michael on his many accomplishments and this well-deserved honor of being selected to receive the AOH Thomas Gray Award.
